SMART Goals

Updated: Sep 30, 2020

The first step to you getting on the path to success is for you to create the best goals for you. These need to be goals that take you out of your comfort zone. Believe it or not, this is where dreams go to die if you do not write reasonable goals down and follow through on them. Before I meet with my clients, I tell them to come up with a couple of goals to bring to the free consultation. We workshop them together and expand on what this goal means to them, but I'll give you the inside scoop of how to write great SMART goals.

SMART goals are specific, relevant, measurable, attainable, and time-based. With that said, choose goals that are realistic for you and make sure it is something you want to accomplish. If you are not 100% in on achieving the target, then you might want to think of one that hits you deeper. Being emotionally connected to the goal is one of the first steps in the process. After the target created, you must ask yourself, how am I going to accomplish this goal? There is a long road ahead as most goals do not just happen overnight, so being 100% in on the goal is just as crucial as the acronym SMART. These goals can be put up around your place to have them synced into your brain to keep you on track. Feel free to bring your SMART goals to your free consultation with me, and I can look at them. From there, I can tell you how we can reach them together.
