How to Stay Motivated with Your Fitness Journey

By Maya Carducci

It's completely normal to feel like you are hitting a wall during your fitness journey; after all, they can last months. Oftentimes, it is also easy to hit a plateau in your routine, but the good news is, there are ways to change up your normal routine and amplify your results. Here are simple and easy tricks to rekindle motivation during your journey and shoot past that plateau.

Switch up your routine. Variety is key to getting over a fitness plateau. Joining a group fitness class can help add new ways to sweat and fun from being around like-minded people. Finding new movements to incorporate to your workouts is another way to add variety. New movements can also foster muscle growth and flexibility from moving your body in a different way. Be prepared, you will definitely be sore after that tip!

Review your progress. Keeping track of your weekly and monthly progress can help motivate you to further your routine and feel accomplished. Tracking your progress can also help you spot areas you want to improve and formulate new routines to gain even more progress.

Find inspiration. Nowadays, social media makes it easy to find inspiration to motivate us further toward our goals. Following fitness pages or fitness influencers is a great way to get inspired to continue your journey. You can even learn new tips through what other people have already tried.

Buy new fitness gear. It sounds silly, but having something to look forward to everyday is a great way to stay consistent with something. Wearing something you feel good in will help build confidence while going to the gym as well. This is a small change but keeps your gym session fun and fresh.

Remember, taking a break on your way to reaching your fitness goals is healthy and helps you come back even stronger. Want even more fitness tips? JPFIT4LIFE can help. Set up your FREE virtual consultation TODAY by emailing 1jpfit4life1@gmail.com or calling 802-522-6521.
