How To Stay Fit During COVID


Covid has changed the lives of us all. It disrupted our daily routine, our health, our lifestyle, etc. Leaving our homes and going to the gym doesn't feel as safe anymore. However, despite the unfortunate change of events it has caused in our lives, we shouldn't allow this virus to prevent us from staying fit and healthy. There are several measures you can take to ensure you stay fit during these times;

  • Find a workout plan that can be done from the comfort of your home. Order some weights or resistance bands to help you complete some weighted exercises that you'd typically complete at the gym.

  • Create a nutrition plan that'll enable you to track all the nutrients you are consuming daily.

  • Meal prep for the week to ensure every meal you eat is appropriately balanced.

Working out from home may seem a tad more complicated than working out at a gym. When you go to the gym, all you have to do, for the most part, is hop on a machine that targets the body area you want to work on. You might be asking how exactly you can work out from home.

  • First, you want to find an area in your house where you'll have enough space to work out. You may wish to purchase a yoga mat of some sort, so you're not lying down on a hard surface.

  • Then you want to find exercises that target the area of the body you want to work out on. For example, if you're going to work on your core/abdomen, you can do 30 sec -1 minute planks 3-4 times, three sets of 12 leg raises, and three sets of 12 Russian twists. Ensure you are doing multiple reps and sets so you can get the most out of your workout.

  • You can do a wide variety of different exercises without equipment, but if you can, ordering a few weights and resistance bands may help you complete your home exercises more efficiently. For example, when doing squats, you can put resistance bands around your thighs to work your muscles more, or you can also hold onto weights as you complete the exercise.
